Man Arrested For Defiant Trespass At Wegmans: Warrington Crime Report
The Warrington Township Police Department investigated two retail thefts in the township and made two arrests.
WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — The Warrington Township Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests:
February 17
- Police responded to Wegmans for a known subject trespassing. Upon arrival police located the 41-year-old man from Jenkintown in the store's café. The man had been advised by police in August that he was not permitted to be at Wegmans. He was placed under arrest for trespassing. While searching his belongings police found $42.43 worth of merchandise that he had concealed in his backpack. He was transported to the station where he was processed and released. He was charged with defiant trespass and retail theft.
February 20

- Police responded to Target for the report of a retail theft. Upon arrival the store's loss prevention officer told police that a 61-year-old woman from Hatboro had been detained for suspected retail theft. Loss prevention told police that the woman placed $217.98 worth of merchandise in a shopping cart and exited the store without paying for the merchandise. The woman was placed under arrest and was transported to the station where she was processed and released. She is charged with retail theft and receiving stolen merchandise.
February 24
- Police responded to Wegmans for the report of a retail theft. Upon arrival loss prevention told police that a 21-year-old man from Chalfont had concealed two steaks valued at $41.39. The man was placed under arrest and transported to the station where he was processed and released. He is charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property.
