Man Arrrested In Sexual Assault Of A Child: Pennridge Regional Police Report
Missing 77-year-old woman winds up in Cranbury, New Jersey; police investigate numerous car crashes and assault cases.
BUCKS COUNTY, PA — The Pennridge Regional Police Department handled 176 incidents between Nov. 9 and 15 in East and West Rockhill townships, including several assault investigations and a sexual assault arrest.
Incidents
- Disturbance: Police were dispatched to a disturbance at the Manderfield Preserve on Nov. 9 for two men who were arguing after one of them locked his vehicle. Upon arrival, police said both parties were no longer on scene, but they were able to contact both parties. It was determined that there was a brief argument between the men following comments made by one man after the other locked their vehicle remotely, activating the horn.
- Assault Investigation: Police responded to St. Luke's Grand View for a report of a patient who was allegedly assaulted by a nurse while being treated at the hospital. Police are still continuing their investigation.
- Assault Investigation: Police were dispatched to a home in the 1700 block of Lower Rocky Dale Road on Nov. 14 at around 1:45 a.m. for an assault. Police determined that a man had assaulted a woman following a brief argument. The woman was transported to St. Lukes Grand View where she was treated for a high level of intoxication. The man had left the home before police arrival. Criminal charges are pending.
- Disturbance: Officers responded to Suburban Propane on Nov. 13 for a dispute between a customer and the business. Police determined that an ongoing dispute existed between the customer and the business regarding the cost of propane. The issue was resolved by police for the time being and each party was referred to take civil action.
- Missing Person Report: On Nov. 15, police were contacted by a resident who reported their 77-year-old mother was missing. The missing person left the residence in West Rockhill Township to purchase a cheesecake. After nearly six hours, police were contacted and with the use of a cellphone ping, license plate readers and the New Jersey State Police the 77-year-old mother was located in Cranberry, N.J., safe and sound.

- Simple Assault Arrest: A 34-year-old woman from East Rockhill was charged with Simple Assault and harassment following a police response to her home on Nov. 11. Police were contacted around 7 p.m. regarding a physical disturbance at the home. After a brief investigation, the woman was taken into custody for striking a man at the home. The woman was arraigned by a District Magistrate and released on $25,000 unsecured bail.
- Sexual Assault Arrest: A 20-year-old man from East Rockhill was charged with Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse with a child, and several related sex offenses on Nov. 12 following an investigation into his relationship with an 11-year-old girl. Police were contacted regarding the 11-year-old having an intimate relationship with the 20-year-old man. The two met on the social media application, Snapchat. The man was taken into custody and arraigned by a district magistrate and sent to Bucks County Prison on a bail of 10 percent of $1,000,000.
Traffic Accidents
- November 10: Officers responded to State Road and Rt. 309 for a two-vehicle traffic accident involving a Honda Passport and a Chrysler Pacifica. Police determined that the Honda had made an illegal U-turn and was struck by the Pacifica. Minor injuries were reported and both vehicles were towed from the scene. The driver of the Passport was cited for causing the crash.
- November 12: Police responded to a two-vehicle traffic accident involving a Ford truck and a Merecedes Benz sedan at the intersection of State Road and Meetinghouse Road. The Ford truck had made a left turn from the stop sign at Meetinghouse Road and State Road resulting in the Mercedes being struck. No injuries were reported, and the Mercedes had to be towed from the scene.
- November 12: A one vehicle traffic crash occurred at Old Bethlehem Pike and Green Top Road, when a Chevrolet Trailblazer struck a deer. No injuries were reported.
- November 12: A two-vehicle traffic accident occurred in the area of Allentown Road and Butter Creek Road. Police determined that a Kia had attempted to cross the single lane bridge and before they could another vehicle crossed the bridge, forcing the Kia to back up. When the Kia backed up it struck the Corvette that had stopped behind it.
- November 12: Police responded to a two-vehicle traffic accident at the intersection of State Road and Old State Road, where a Toyota Four Runner pulled out from Old State Road and struck a Chevrolet Malibu that was driving past. No injuries were reported but the Malibu had to be towed from the scene.
- November 14: A Chevrolet Malibu and a BMW X5 were involved in a minor crash at the intersection State Road and South Main St. The driver of the Malibu immediately told police that they were unable to stop for the BMW that had stopped for the traffic signal. No injuries were reported.
