WARRINGTON, PA — The Warrington Township Police Department reported the following incidents between June 11 and 18, including a man who slapped a juvenile during an altercation at a township store and a 74-year-old man arrested for shoplifting.

June 11

  • Police were dispatched to the Enterprise rental car store in July 2024 after employees discovered a Glock 43x handgun in the glove compartment of a vehicle that had just been returned. When officers arrived, they secured the loaded firearm and began an investigation to determine its owner. The investigation identified a 31-year-old man from Wilmington, Del., as the individual who had rented and returned the vehicle. Police conducted a records check and found that the man did not possess a valid concealed carry permit. As a result, a warrant was issued for his arrest. Nearly a year later, on June 11, the man voluntarily turned himself in to authorities. He was processed at the station and arraigned before Judge Wertman, who set bail at $25,000 unsecured. He is charged with carrying a firearm without a permit.
