Arrest Warrant Issued For Man Facing Felony Fraud Charges In Warrington

In other reports, police charged two with retail theft and receiving stolen merchandise following incidents at township stores.

WARRINGTON, PA — An arrest warrant has been issued for Walter Webb, wanted by Warrington Township Police on felony fraud charges.

Police said the 52-year-old Webb entered into an agreement with a Warrington woman for home improvement contract services at a home she owns on Grady Avenue. Webb was prepaid in cash and never completed any of the work, and the money was never returned, police said.

When Webb is apprehended, he will be charged with theft by deception (false impression), false statement to induce agreement for home improvement services, and deceptive business practices.

Man Charged With Stealing Eagles Gear, Alcohol

A 30-year-old Philadelphia man has been charged with retail theft and receiving stolen merchandise for an incident at the Wegmans store on Easton Road.

On Nov. 14 at 5:43 p.m., police said the man allegedly selected Eagles sports merchandise, ripped the tags from the merchandise, and then concealed the merchandise in a large diaper bag that he brought into the store. He also allegedly selected two items from the alcohol section and placed them at the bottom of his cart, police said.

Police said the man then passed all points of sale, failing to pay for $155.87 worth of merchandise, before exiting the store. He was placed under arrest, transported to police headquarters, processed and released from custody pending his preliminary hearing.

Elkins Park Woman Charged In Retail Theft

A 34-year-old Elkins Park woman faces retail theft and receiving stolen merchandise charges for an incident at the Aldi store at 100 Easton Road.

In September, police responded to the store for the report of a retail theft that had just occurred. The manager told police that a woman wearing a gray shirt, blue jean shorts, an orange headband, and a full leg sleeve on her right leg failed to pay for merchandise.

Police said closed-circuit TV showed the woman failing to scan numerous items and leaving the store without paying. The total value taken was $576.55. The woman left in a silver Honda Accord.

Through a police investigation, the woman was identified, and charges were filed. On Oct. 13, the woman was processed and released.
