Man Robbed Wehrung's Hardware Store, Police Say
The man smashed in the front doors of the Chalfont hardware store to gain access overnight, Central Bucks Regional Police said.
CHALFONT, PA — A man was arrested Friday for allegedly breaking into a Chalfont hardware store in the early morning hours by smashing the glass front doors.
Joshua Michael Groff, 30, faces felony charges of burglary and criminal trespassing, as well as misdemeanor charges of criminal mischief, theft, and receiving stolen property, Central Bucks Regional Police said.
While detectives were investigating the burglary at Wehrung's Hardware Store on East Butler Avenue early Friday morning, Central Bucks police got a call about an "unwanted subject" on the grounds of Delaware Valley University.

The man was Groff, who told officers he left his cellphone at the store after breaking into it the night before, police said.
Groff was arraigned on $25,000 bail and sent to Bucks County Jail. His next scheduled court appearance is Dec. 1.
