Man Threatens Tavern Employees: Central Bucks Regional Police Report
Police reported the following incidents and arrests during the month of January.
DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — The Central Bucks Regional Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests during the month of January.
January 1
- A 42-year-old man from Doylestown was charged with terroristic threats and disorderly conduct after making threats against employees at the Farmhouse Tavern, 380 North Main. Police said the man threatened to “kill ‘x’ with a shotgun.”
- Two juveniles from Doylestown were charged with theft and criminal mischief in connection with an incident on Belmont Avenue in Doylestown Borough that took place in early October. When the individuals were asked to leave the residence, they damaged the ceiling in a basement hallway ($600), broke a ceramic pot ($350), and stole a wine glass ($250) and glass pitcher ($100) from the property. Police filed juvenile written allegations.
- A 21-year-old woman from Allentown, N.J., was cited with an ordinance violation following a traffic stop at South Main Street and Taylor Avenue, Doylestown. Police found the driver in possession of a small amount of marijuana.
January 3

- Rashawn James Harris, 37, of Philadelphia, turned himself in on Jan. 3 for an incident that occurred on Sept. 28, 2024 at 833 East Butler Avenue, New Britain. Police say Harris, a Foundations Behavioral Health staff member, grabbed a 14-year-old juvenile patient by the neck and threw him to the floor after the juvenile spit at Harris. Harris was arraigned and bail was set at $50,000 unsecured with conditions. He is charged with aggravated assault, strangulation, simple assault, and harassment.
- A 68-year-old man from North Wales was cited for public drunkenness at the SEPTA Train Station at 100 South Clinton Street, Doylestown Borough. Police said the man presented as intoxicated.
- A 27-year-old Doylestown woman was cited for theft after she stole sweatpants from the Target store at 456 North Main Street.
- A 30-year-old Croydon man was charged with criminal trespass following police response to an apartment building at 555 North Broad Street. Police said the man did not heed earlier warnings by police to stay off the property.
January 4
- A 56-year-old Doylestown man was cited with harassment following police response for a domestic incident in progress at 304 Fonthill Drive, Doylestown Borough.
January 7

- A 48-year-old Sellersville man was charged with criminal mischief, harassment and other charges following police response to a domestic in progress on West Butler Avenue in New Britain Borough. Police said the man kicked in the front door of a residence.
January 8
- A 32-year-old man from Bristol was charged with retail theft for stealing more than $200 in merchandise from the Target store on North Main Street.
January 9
- A 27-year-old Middletown man was charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property after stealing a package (valued at $50) from a home on Stryker Avenue, Doylestown, while wearing a Fed Ex uniform. The man was recognized as the same offender the day before in another jurisdiction, police said.
January 10
- Erin Eileen McVan, 28, of Doylestown, was charged with aggravated assault, drug violations, and aggravated harassment following police response to a domestic incident on East Ashland Street where police said McVan ‘trashed’ the house during a verbal altercation. Once in custody, McVan became extremely combative, police said. She was arraigned, bail set at 10 percent of $50,000, and remanded to Bucks County Prison.
January 12
- A 46-year-old woman from Colmar was charged with a drug violation following a traffic stop at the Town Center in New Britain Borough for a suspended registration. The driver was remanded to Bucks County Prison on an outstanding warrant.
January 13
- A 46-year-old Doylestown man was charged with theft, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen merchandise for a retail theft at the Target store on North Main Street. Police said the man was observed walking around the store, placing items in a stolen backpack and walking out of the store past all points of sale.
January 15
- Home Genius Exteriors of Allentown was cited for soliciting without a permit on Pawnee Road in New Britain Borough.
- A 19-year-old from Albrightsville, a 22-year-old from Philadelphia and Home Genius of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, were cited for soliciting without a permit on Belmont Avenue in Doylestown Borough
January 16
- A 40-year-old Doylestown woman was charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment for a domestic in progress on Fonthill Drive in Doylestown Borough. Police said a physical altercation resulted when the woman struck the victim in the face with a phone.
- A 59-year-old Doylestown man was charged with public drunkenness after he was found slumped over in a vehicle on Veterans Lane in Doylestown Borough.
January 17
- A 49-year-old woman from Chalfont was charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct following a domestic dispute at 131 North Main Street at Patriot Station. Police said the woman struck the victim with her hands and items several times. She was arraigned; bail set at 10 percent $25,000 with conditions.
January 18
- A 43-year-old Doylestown woman was charged with retail theft, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property after stealing $680 in merchandise from the Target store on eight separate occasions.
January 25
- A 41-year-old Bristol man was charged with DUI following a traffic stop at Main Street and Veterans Lane in Doylestown Borough. Police said the man presented with glassy bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Police also observed an empty alcoholic beverage on the passenger side floor. The driver failed field sobriety tests and a subsequent legal blood draw was obtained at Doylestown Hospital.
- A 22-year-old Glenside man was charged with disorderly conduct after urinating in public on North Main Street in Doylestown Borough.
- A 39-year-old woman from Paramus, New Jersey, was charged with retail theft after stealing $175 in merchandise from the Target store on North Main Street in Doylestown.
January 26
- A 24-year-old man from East Windsor, N.J., was charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment after engaging in a fight with an employee of MOMs after being asked to leave the establishment at 37 North Main Street.
January 30
- A 28-year-old Levittown woman was cited with soliciting without a permit for Power Home Remodeling on Kershaw Avenue in Doylestown Borough.
Crime and Other Incidents
January 10
- Criminal mischief to a vehicle was reported at 303 W. State Street, Doylestown Borough. Unknown person(s) slashed the tires of a vehicle parked in the Metropolitan Apartment complex lot.
January 11
- A theft was reported at 252 Belmont Avenue (Liberty Point), Doylestown Borough. Unknown person(s) stole a wallet with credit cards.
January 25
- A theft was reported at 132 Veterans Lane (Wine & Spirits), Doylestown Borough. An unknown person stole a bottle of vodka from the store.
January 28
- A theft was reported at 200 Town Center (Giant), New Britain Borough. An unknown man stole $365 in merchandise from the store.
January 30
- A theft was reported on South Pine Street in Doylestown Borough. Unknown person(s) stole a UPS envelope containing a large check from the outside of the victim’s residence.
