BUCKINGHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — A fire that broke out Monday night at Buckingham Valley Seafood has temporarily closed the popular seafood shop on Durham Road.

The business announced on social media early Tuesday that they are "devastated" about fire, which will cause a temporary closure. The extent of the damage was not immediately revealed.

"It is with great sadness that our store will be temporary closed due to a fire that happened last night. We are devastated and thankful to all the firefighters that responded to the call," the announcement said.

Lingohocken Fire Company, which responded to the scene, reported the fire broke out around 9:40 p.m. Fire was reported in the roof area, Lingohocken crews reported.

PECO crews were at the scene Tuesday morning. The fire caused visible damage to the building; the roof was damaged and the doorway has been boarded up.
