More Than 16K In Doylestown Area Without Power After Storm
A severe storm that ripped through the area has left more than 16,000 residents in the Doylestown area without power.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — A severe storm that ripped through the area has left more than 64,000 Bucks County residents without power Wednesday, including more than 16,000 in the Doylestown area.
Power outages were widespread across Doylestown, Buckingham, and Warrington. Plumstead so far seemed spared from the worst, reporting just 124 outages as of 2:20 p.m., PECO said.
The storm, which arrived shortly after noon, came with strong winds and torrential rainfall.

Here are the Doylestown-area towns hardest hit by the power outages as of 2:30 p.m., according to PECO:
- Warrington: 4,911
- Doylestown Township: 3,960
- Buckingham: 2,365
- New Britain Township: 2,119
- Chalfont: 1,726
- Doylestown Borough: 1,686
- Warwick: 1,619
- New Britain Borough: 1,178
