National Beer Day: Celebrate At These Doylestown Breweries
Thursday is National Beer Day, and taprooms in the Doylestown area are ready to mark the occasion.
DOYLESTOWN, PA — Thursday is National Beer Day, and Doylestown area breweries have got you covered when it comes to grabbing a pint.
National Beer Day honors the planet's most consumed alcoholic beverage on April 7, the day President Franklin Roosevelt signed the Cullen-Harrison Act in 1933. That law was a significant move toward ending Prohibition, allowing people to brew and sell beer with a low alcohol content in the United States.
Nearly 90 years later, beer is easily purchased and regularly enjoyed in bars all around the country — but local taprooms and breweries are booming, too, while putting their own flavor and spin on one of America's favorite drinks.
