New Borough Council Member Sworn into Office
Wendy Margolis fills the seat left vacant by Marlene Pray's resignation.

A Maplewood resident officially joined the Doylestown Borough Council for the first time in the past 30 years when Mayor Libby White swore in Wendy Margolis during Monday night's meeting.
"I love giving back to the community, and this is a great opportunity to do that," said Margolis, who did not think the Maplewood section was always at the forefront when certain issues were considered.
The other councilmembers were equally pleased to approve Margolis to fill the seat left vacant when Marlene Pray resigned over residency issues.

"We could not have gone wrong choosing from the quality of people that applied for the seat," said Don Berk. "But Wendy was at the top of everybody's short list."
Margolis said she is particularly interested in the borough's environmental issues. Her term is scheduled to end this year, but if all goes well, Margolis would like to run in November's special election.
