DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — Main Sip Bar & Lounge is officially open for business inside the MainStreet Marketplace in Doylestown Borough.

Located on the third floor of the Marketplace, the bar is the latest addition at Main Street Sport and Social, a family entertainment center featuring simulated golf, duckpin bowling, and an indoor mini golf course.

The 22-seat bar is designed to complement the sport and social atmosphere that owner Will Wister has created with his one-stop entertainment center.

"Whether you're coming here to use the golf simulators, play some duckpin bowling, or a round of mini golf, the bar is a complement to that - a place to relax between games or just to hang out," said bar manager Bari Buiso.

"Or maybe your goal is a night out with friends to watch a sports event on TV, then the added bonus is the rest of the facility instead of just sitting and drinking and watching the game. We have activities to keep you moving," she said.

The bar will feature a selection of 1675 distilled spirits, including whisky and vodka.

The bar's specialty cocktail menu is themed after golf course classics.

The bar - a collaboration between the Bensalem-based distillery 1675 Spirits and Main Street Sport and Social - will be serving Pennsylvania-only products including 1675's high-quality vodkas and whiskeys and its selection of canned beer.

The bar's specialty cocktail menu is themed after golf course classics, including the Honey Deuce, the official drink of the U.S. Open made with vodka, raspberry and lemonade, and the John Daly, an alcoholic version of the Arnold Palmer named after professional golfer John Daly and made with tequila, grapefruit and soda.

"We have a cocktail for every liquor preference. It's not all vodka-heavy. There's never a problem with a well crafted Old Fashioned," said Buiso.

The menu also includes a "carefully selected" offering of wine, draft and canned beer that will rotate seasonally throughout the year.

Complementing the bar will be a cocktail service that will be available throughout the facility. "We're there to take care of you and give you an entire experience," said Buiso.

Wister said while the venue won't be selling food, food can be brought into the venue from any of the eateries inside the MainStreet Marketplace or from nearby eateries in downtown Doylestown.

The opening of the bar completes Wister's vision of a downtown entertainment venue, which he launched one year ago with Main Swing and then expanded late last year with Main Strike and Main Stroke.

"This is what we envisioned when we set out to do this," said the Central Bucks High School graduate. "I'm grateful to see it finally completed and to see the full picture come together."

The 3,000-square-foot Main Swing - where it all began a year ago - continues to provide golfers with simulated tee-time experiences at practice ranges and at golf courses around the world.

Main Swing now adjoins a new space called "Main Strike" featuring a lounge area and four lanes of Duckpin Bowling, which uses smaller pins and smaller alleys than traditional bowling. Wster likens it to a cross between skee ball and bowling.

The venue then extends to the third floor which is home to another lounge area, nine holes of mini golf called "Main Stroke," and now a full-service bar that will service the entire center.

"We have brought a whole new form of fun to Doylestown for all ages. We call it fun-tainment," said Wister. "We are now a one-stop entertainment shop. And it's all right here in Doylestown."

Bar hours are Monday to Thursday from 4 to 9 p.m., Friday from 2 to midnight, Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
