QUAKERTOWN, PA — The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating an incident over the weekend in which a small plane violated restricted airspace around the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey.
According to reports, the plane took off from the Monmouth Executive Airport at 10 a.m. Saturday morning and crossed into a temporary flight restriction zone over New Jersey. The violation prompted a fighter jet response in the skies over Bucks County.
The plane landed just before 10:30 a.m. at the Quakertown Airport in Bucks County.

The plane makes frequent trips between Quakertown, Belmar, and Wildwood, but it was unclear whether Quakertown was the plane's final destination or whether it was forced to land there, the Bucks County Courier Times reported.
The temporary flight restriction was in place while President Trump was at the golf club on Friday and Saturday. General aviation pilots are required to check notices when flying near Bedminster in New Jersey and Mar-A-Lago in Florida, officials said.
