Plumstead Man Charged With Possessing, Disseminating Child Porn
Warrington Police began an investigation last year into the online sharing of child sexual abuse materials by an IP address in Plumstead.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A 40-year-old Plumstead Township man faces multiple charges for possessing and disseminating child pornography.
On Feb. 12 the Warrington Township Police Department arrested David Joseph Godfrey and charged him with the dissemination of photos/film of child sex acts, possession of child sexual abuse materials, and criminal use of a communication facility.
An undercover investigation, which began last year into the online sharing of child sexual abuse materials, led police to a computer IP address at Godfrey's home.

Between June 16 and Nov. 5, 2024, law enforcement computers connected with a suspect computer utilizing an IP address traced to Plumstead. Police said on multiple occasions these connections resulted in the transmission of more than 400 files containing child sexual abuse material from the suspect computer to investigative computers.
On Jan. 17, a search warrant was conducted at the residence and several cellular telephones were seized. The phones were analyzed and one was found to contain child sexual abuse material. An investigation revealed that the phone accessed the file containing child sexual abuse material 57 times between Jan. 4, 2024 and Jan. 17, 2025.

As a result, an arrest warrant was filed for Godfrey, who turned himself into Warrington Police investigators on Feb. 12.
Godfrey was processed and arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Stacy Wertman who remanded Godfrey to Bucks County Prison in default of $25,000/10 percent bail.
The Warrington Township Police Department was assisted in its investigation by the Plumstead Township Police Department, the Bucks County Detectives, the Warwick Township Police Department, the Bensalem Township Police Department, the Richland Township Police Department, the Perkasie Borough Police Department, and the Hilltown Township Police
Department.
