BUCKINGHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — The owner of a Buckingham Township smoke shop that was investigated by local law enforcement for allegedly selling drug paraphernalia and various products to pass drug tests turned himself into police Wednesday.

1 Step Smoke Shop owner Emad Refai, 56, was wanted on a warrant for possession with intent to deliver drug paraphernalia.

The investigation into the shop, located on Swamp Road in the Doylestown section of the township, began in 2017, after the police said they received complaints about the business.

During the investigation, authorities said detectives were able to purchase various paraphernalia, including pipes, pill containers, bongs, and scales. "These items were decorated with marijuana leaves, the symbol "420", and adorned in Rasta colors, all references to marijuana," information from Buckingham Township Police said.

The shop was also selling items to enable someone to pass a drug test, including synthetic urine and hair purifier, police said.
