Woman Found Dead In Bucks Co., Homicide Investigation Underway

HILLTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Police and detectives are investigating the death of an elderly Bucks County woman as a homicide.

The deceased 89-year-old woman was discovered on Thursday around 7:20 p.m. at a home in the 2500 block of Rickert Road in Hilltown Township.

The death is actively being investigated as a homicide by the Hilltown Township Police Department, Bucks County Detectives and the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office, police said in a press release.

The Bucks County Coroner's office and the Crime Scene Unit of the Central Bucks Special Response Team are also assisting with the investigation.

Due to the ongoing and active nature of the investigation, the victim’s identity and additional details are not being released, police said. Police also said that there is no known threat to the general public.
