Police Investigating Thefts At New Britain Twp. Wawa

Police in New Britain Township are investigating two retail thefts that happened on the same day at the Wawa store on Butler Avenue.

NEW BRITAIN TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in New Britain Township continue to investigate two retail thefts that happened on Tuesday, July 1 at the Wawa store at 525 West Butler Avenue.

The first happened at 2:02 a.m. when two suspects entered the store and stole merchandise before fleeing in a dark-colored early 2000s Honda Accord, police said.

Police say they have identified a woman involved with that theft.

The second happened at 5:08 p.m. when two suspects stole cases of alcohol and fled in what appears to be a dark-colored Subaru. A person of interest from the same vehicle also entered the store separately and appeared to be the lookout for the suspects, police said.
