Police Make Arrests For DUI, Quell Domestic Disturbance: Plumstead Crime Report

In another report, a resident told police someone opened an Apple Card in their name and charged more than $8,000 in purchases.

PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Plumstead Township Police Department reported the followinc incidents and arrests between June 30 and July 5:

June 30

  • At 9:09 p.m., officers responded to a report of a silver Odyssey driving erratically in the area of the Colonial Village Motel. The vehicle was found unoccupied, but the operator was later contacted and exhibited signs of intoxication. The individual, a 33-year-old man, was arrested for driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood alcohol results.

July 1

  • At 2:50 p.m., a resident came to the police station to report a fraud incident. The individual's identity was used to open an Apple Card, resulting in more than $8,000 in charges. A police report was filed to assist with the bank's investigation.
  • At 8 p.m., officers responded to a report of an unwanted person at a business on North Easton Road. The complainant wanted the individuals removed from the property. The officers informed the individuals, and they left without incident.

July 3

  • At 9:08 p.m., officers responded to a hit-and-run incident on Point Pleasant Pike. The complainant followed the suspect's vehicle, which was later found at a residence with matching damage. The suspect, a 47-year-old man, exhibited signs of intoxication and was arrested for driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood alcohol results.

  • At 11:07 p.m., officers responded to a report of a hit-and-run incident on Point Pleasant Pike that occurred overnight. The complainant's mailbox was damaged, and car parts were left behind. The incident is under investigation.
  • At 8:41 p.m., officers responded to a domestic disturbance on Stump Road. The parties were separated and no one was injured. The officers cleared the scene without further incident.
  • At 10:17 p.m., officers stopped a SUV on North Easton Road for speeding. The driver, a 48-year-old man, exhibited signs of intoxication and was arrested for driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood alcohol results.
