Police Quell Domestic Disputes, Respond To Theft Call In Plumstead
Police investigating theft of property, including customer records and work-related documents, by a former employee.
PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Plumstead Township Police Department reported the following incidents between May 13 and 18:
May 13
- At 12:25 p.m., officers responded the Giant store on Easton Road for the report of a theft. A woman attempted to purchase items, including a gift card valued at more than $480. The transaction was declined and the woman fled the scene. The incident is currently under investigation.
- At 5:22 p.m., officers received a report from a Plumstead business owner that a former employee had returned to the premises and removed property that did not belong to them, including customer information and work-related documents. The incident is under investigation.
May 14

- At 6:50 p.m., officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the area of Stump Road. Upon arrival, officers separated the parties involved and spoke with them. The parties were advised not to have contact with each other for the rest of the night.
May 16
- At 9:25 p.m., officers responded to a verbal domestic disturbance in the area of Ridgetop Road. Upon arrival, officers de-escalated the situation and the parties involved were separated.
May 17

- At 10:07 p.m., officers responded to a verbal domestic disturbance in the area of Lily Dr. Upon arrival, officers separated the parties involved and de-escalated the situation. The parties were advised to stay apart for the night.
May 18
- At 12:51 a.m., officers responded to a traffic complaint in the area of Point Pleasant Pike. Upon arrival, officers stopped a man who was attempting to walk away from a vehicle. The individual exhibited signs of intoxication and was unable to perform a field sobriety test satisfactorily. Due to the limited information about who the driver of the vehicle was at the time of the call, the officers informed the individual not to drive and provided courtesy transport.
