Retail Theft Suspect Nabbed Outside Walmart: Warrington Crime Report

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A Glenside man faces retail theft and receiving stolen property charges after he was observed stealing merchandise from the Walmart store on Easton Road.
On July 6, police were dispatched to the store for the report of a retail theft in progress.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with Walmart loss prevention personnel who were actively monitoring a man, later identified as 38-year-old James Joseph Krieger III of Glenside.

Loss prevention told police that they had observed Krieger walking through the grocery section of the store carrying what appeared to be a laptop. He then proceeded to the men's clothing section, where he selected a Philadelphia Phillies t-shirt and put it on over his clothing.
Police said Krieger continued walking through the store and selected multiple Lego sets. He was also observed removing security devices from the packaging before making his way toward the store exit.

Krieger exited the store without attempting to pay for any of the merchandise, police said.
Officers were stationed outside the store and detained Krieger as he left the store. The value of the stolen merchandise was determined to be $502.78.
Krieger was placed under arrest without incident and transported to the Warrington Police Department for processing. He was later released pending charges.
Man Cited After Dropping His Pants At Township Hotel
On July 4, management at the Hampton Inn & Suites contacted police to report that a 52-year-old man had caused property damage to a hotel room and a light post. Management requested that the man no longer be permitted on the property.
The next day, police said the man returned to the property and reportedly caused additional damage.
Upon arrival, officers were approached by a witness who told police they saw the man in the area without pants. The witness further told police, “I saw everything.”
Police located the man sitting in the grass with his pants down, exposing his rear end. He was taken into custody and transported to the station.
He was arraigned by Judge Petrucci, who set bail at $25,000. Unable to post bail, the man was transported to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
