Road Rage, Identity Theft Incidents Under Investigation In Plumstead

In other reports, police are investigating the report of a man dressed as an Amazon driver stealing a FedEx package from a porch.

PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Plumstead Township Police Department reported the following incidents between May 27 and May 31:

May 27

  • At 3:53 p.m., officers responded to a road rage incident in the area of Ferry Road. A complainant reported being cut off by a vehicle, and the driver began following her, making threatening statements. The suspect eventually stopped following the complainant and went in the opposite direction. The incident is still under investigation.

  • At 2:03 p.m., a Plumstead resident reported an identity theft incident. The complainant received notifications from two banks that accounts were being opened under their name using their social security number. The accounts were closed, and an Identity Theft packet was provided to the complainant. The incident is still under investigation.

  • At 3:01 p.m., officers responded to a theft report in the area of Cheshire Road. A complainant reported that a FedEx driver dropped off a package, and an individual dressed as an Amazon delivery driver took the package and replaced it with an empty box. The incident is still under investigation.
  • At 9:06 p.m., officers responded to a threat complaint in the area of Owls Nest Park. A complainant reported that an unknown man approached her while she was walking her dog, made a comment, and then used a derogatory term when she didn't respond. The officers patrolled the area but were unable to locate the individual.

  • At 10:31 a.m., a Plumstead resident reported a fraud incident. The complainant discovered that an unknown person opened a credit card under their name with attached purchases. The card was deactivated and the complainant was provided with a victim's right packet and an Identity Theft package. The incident is still under investigation.
