SEPTA Riders Group Petitions for Bathrooms, Trash Cans

The riders' group has launched a petition aimed at adding bathrooms and trash cans to the next set of trains for suburban commuters.

"Bathrooms and trash cans are an especially good idea for long train routes, such as the Doylestown Line, and the Paoli/Thorndale Line on the other side of the old R5," Andy Sharpe, the DVARP communications director, said in an email.

How many times have you really had to go the bathroom, but realized you had an hour train ride ahead of you? Or, do you get tired of seeing all the trash on trains that riders leave behind. Sign this petition if you'd like to see SEPTA include bathrooms and trash receptacles on the next order of Regional Rail trains (Silverliner VIs). While other rail and transit authorities, such as Metra in the Chicagoland, and New Jersey Transit across the Delaware River include bathrooms and trash cans on their trains, SEPTA does not.
Do you think SEPTA should have bathrooms and trash cans on its trains? Tell us in the comments.
