DOYLESTOWN, PA — The crowd gathered early Saturday morning, lining the streets of downtown Doylestown before most stores even opened.

After all, it was a special day for vinyl lovers across Bucks County and the Philadelphia region. It was Record Store Day. See pictures below

Inside Siren Records, workers scurried about, putting the final touches on a strong selection of special releases that only come out on this day and sometimes on another Record Store Day on Black Friday.

They were putting out releases that would soon be gobbled up by the hundreds of people who entered the store, everything from live offerings by Elton John, Yes, and David Bowie, a special Grateful Dead record featuring live tracks from over the decades, "in progress" recordings by The Doors and the Alan Parsons Project, a B-52s picture disc of their first album, an alternative version of a classic Thin Lizzy record, a single performed separately by George Harrison and Beck for charity, and an EP of an old John Lennon concert in 1972.

This day featured something for everyone and Patch was there to capture the moments just before and when the store opened Saturday morning.
