Weekday Detours To End At Uhlerstown-Frenchtown Bridge

Alternating single-lane travel restrictions expected to complete remaining project work prior to winter holidays.

(Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission)

FRENCHTOWN, NJ – The Uhlerstown-Frenchtown Toll-Supported Bridge is expected to remain open to two-way traffic when temporary weekday detours end Friday afternoon.

When the bridge reopens, only periodic flagger-controlled alternating single-lane travel restrictions should be needed to complete remaining tasks associated with the rehabilitation project that has been taking place at the bridge this year.

Remaining work includes — but is not limited to — “punch list” items, testing and calibrating roadway and architectural lights, spot painting, storm-water-inlet cleaning, pier repairs, electrical-system completion and testing, removal of the temporary work platform beneath the bridge, and removal of temporary project lighting along the bridge’s roadway deck .
