Woman Hit Pedestrian, Drove Away While DUI: Warrington Police

A woman is in custody in connection with an alleged DUI hit-and-run last month in Warrington.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A woman is in custody in connection with an alleged DUI hit-and-run last month in Warrington.

Rebecca Allen, 28, of Warminster has been charged with aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI and related charges after police said she hit a pedestrian on Dec. 13. She is currently being held at Bucks County Prison.

The incident was reported shortly before 9 p.m. on eastbound Street Road near Costner Drive. Allen struck a woman who was crossing Street Road and didn't stop, police said.

The woman was seriously injured.

Police found Allen in Doylestown shortly after the crash; she was arrested and later charged.

Allen turned herself into authorities Monday and was sent to Bucks County Prison after failing to make bail, which was set at 10 percent of $150,000.
