$475,000 Upgrade Coming to Hugh Moore

Easton's Hugh Moore Park will get $475,000 in upgrades, state and city officials said this week.

The Express-Times reports that the improvements will include an outdoor classroom and a canal-themed playground, as well as signs that explain the park's connection to the region's canal history.

The work is expected to conclude next year, and will be paid for by a $175,000 state grant, and $300,000 from the Hugh Moore Trust.

Last year, the city of Easton took over maintenance of the park.
