Beach Boys, Author Wallace Stroby This Week in Easton

A look at what's happening this week in Easton.

Good morning everyone. A new week is almost here, so let's take a look at what's happening over the next few days.

1. The Beach Boys play Thursday evening at 7:30 at the State Theatre. The group is led by founding member Mike Love and Brian Johnston, who joined the band in 1965 and helped write some of its biggest hits.

2. Crime novelist Wallace Stroby will be at 7:00 Thursday evening at the Easton Area Public Library to talk about crime and his novel Kings of Midnight. Named one of the Best Books of 2012 by Kirkus Review, the novel was released in paperback this month.

3. Also this week at the libary: a screening of the Italian Film Shun-Li and the Poet, Monday at 7:00 p.m. in the Catherine Drake Meeting Room.

4. Easton City Council meets Wednesday at 6 p.m. in city hall.

5. Easton Area Middle School holds an open house for parents of seventh and eighth graders Thursday from 6 p.m to 8:30 p.m.

6. Grammy-winning saxophonist and composer Joe Lovano and two-time Grammy nominated trumpeter Dave Douglas bring their Soundprints show to Lafayette College's Williams Center for the Performing Arts Wednesday at 8 p.m.
