Bike Blessing Returns to Shiloh Church Saturday

For the second year in a row, the Greater Shiloh Church will offer its prayers to all those who ride motorcycles.

The second annual Bike Blessing happens Saturday at 11 a.m. at the church on Easton's South Side.

The blessing last year was actually bestowed on the bikers themselves, rather than their bikes. The idea, Pastor Phillip Davis explained at the time, is that if the riders are blessed, the bikes themselves are too.

Last year, the event—held in cooperation with the Pocono Mountain Buffalo Soldier Motorcycle Club USA—brought more than 250 motorcyclists from clubs as far away as West Virginia.
