Book Sale, Open House Thursday in Easton.

The Easton branch of the American Association of University Women begins its annual book sale Thursday morning.

The sale offers low-priced books and other media at the Eddyside Pool House on Route 611 and East Lafayette Street in Easton.

The sale runs from 11 a .m. to 6 p.m., with two paid preview hours starting at 8 a.m.

Other hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sept. 20 and 22, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sept. 22, and again from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sept. 26 (half price day), 27 and 28 (bag days).

Also Thursday: 

• The Easton Area Middle School holds an open house for fifth and sixth grade parents from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
• Also at the middle school, the 7th and 8th grade PTA meets at 6:30 p.m. in the school library.
• Arrrr! Tis Talk like a Pirate Day. Pretend to be the scourge of the Black Sea at work (assuming your boss tolerates that kind of stuff).
