Easton Declares Snow Emergency; Free Parking Announced
The city of Easton has declared a snow emergency effective at 6 p.m. today, Monday, Jan. 26.

The city of Easton announced it has declared a snow emergency effective at 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26, until 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27.
A snow emergency requires all vehicles parked along any snow emergency routes be moved before the start of the snow emergency and cannot return until its conclusion, the city said.
The city is allowing residents who live along snow emergency routes to park in the 3rd Street parking garage from 3 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 26, through the duration of the snow emergency, free of charge. Residents who use the garage must move their vehicles by 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 27.

Any vehicles that are not moved by that time will be charged accordingly, the city said.
Additionally, trash and recycling pickup will postponed one day, beginning Tuesday, according to the city.
