More than 54 percent of people who abuse prescription drugs got them through friends or relatives, according to the Nation survey on Drug Use and Health.

Take Back Days are designed to give people an easy way to dispose of prescription drugs.

The national Drug Enforcement Administration hosts several Take Back Days throughout the year. One is coming up on September 27.

You can bring your prescription drugs to the following collection sites between 10am to 2 pm:

  • CVS Pharmacy, 4950 Freemansburg Avenue
  • Giant Food Store, 301 Town Center Boulevard

According to the Drug Enforcement Administration, people have returned 390 tons of pills back to collection sites in the last seven Take Back days.
