'Fiddler on the Roof' Premiering in Wilson
Wilson Area production of 1960s hit premieres Friday night.
Fiddler on the Roof, the hit Broadway musical about a Jewish family in tsarist Russia, will take the stage this weekend at Wilson Area High School.
Set in a small village in 1905, the play stars junior Anthony Sagrestano as Tevye, a milkman who's trying to balance his belief in tradition with his daughters' wish to marry for love.
The show premieres Friday at the high school at 8 p.m., with other performances Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. To order tickets, call 484-373-6034.

Like all local high school musicals, this one will be in the running for the Freddie Awards in May. Last year's production of Beauty and the Beast scored a single nomination: the Kumma Award for Kari Stiansen's performance of the title song.
