• Easton home shot at overnight, police seeking suspect (lehighvalleylive.com) — Easton police are investigating gunfire that struck a home on the 600 block of Church Street around 4:15 a.m. Monday, with no injuries reported but the residence believed to be the intended target. The suspect fled toward Seventh Street, and detectives are asking anyone with information to contact Det. Dominique Price or the department’s tip line to help move the case forward.
   

• Easton Fire Dept. offers free smoke detector checks and installations (wfmz.com) — Easton homeowners and renters can now get free smoke detector checks and installations from the Easton Fire Department, including special units for residents with hearing impairments. Funded by a federal grant, the program uses Easton Community Connect sign-ups and emphasizes proper detector placement, clear hallways for installers, and closing bedroom doors at night to improve fire safety.
   

• Angelina Jolie's New York Studio Space Runs Into a Legal Challenge (artnews.com) — An Easton-based art and design studio called Atelier Jolie is challenging Angelina Jolie’s use of the same name for her Manhattan creative space. The Pennsylvania business, founded in 2021, has opposed the actress’s trademark application and still advertises a planned Easton expansion while lawyers on both sides negotiate a possible settlement.
