Gas Leak Reported in Glendon

Easton firefighters and workers from UGI were dealing with a gas leak along Main Street in Glendon Friday afternoon.

The leak was reported around 1:20 p.m. at 168 Main St., according to Capt. Joseph Adamski of the city fire department.

Main Street had already been closed between the Hugh Moore Park bridge and Berwick Street on South Side Easton for sewer work, but the leak also caused High Street to be closed as well.

At least one Main Street resident had been evacuated, according to commenters on the Easton Patch Facebook page.

One resident said Wilson Area school bus traffic in the area had to be rerouted.
