Gas Prices Leveling Out in Easton.

Find the cheapest gas in Easton.

After months of a steady decline, gas prices saw their first uptick last week, according to AAA’s Fuel Gauge Report.

The national average for a gallon of gas rose 1.7 cents from last week. In the Lehigh Valley, it went down by one penny since last week, making the average price $3.41 for a gallon of regular. That’s 37 cents lower than prices last year at this time.

Since national gas prices peaked at the end of February, motorists nationwide have felt welcome relief at the pump in the form of falling prices, the report states; however, the recent broader increase in retail gas prices has been supported by higher global crude oil prices.
