Gunshots Reported on Canal Street

Easton police say someone fired several gunshots in the 600 block of Canal Street late Monday night.

Lt. Matthew Gerould tells the Express-Times that about five or six shots were fired, but no injuries or property damage were reported.

A resident contacted Easton Patch via Twitter Monday night to say that there was a heavy police response. "It looks like the whole force is out there."

Police investigated several similar incidents last year.
