Man Tells Police He Was Shot During South Side Robbery

Easton police are looking for two men in South Side robbery/shooting.

Easton police are looking for two men and two cars that could be connected to an apparent robbery and shooting early Monday on the city's South Side.

According to police, officers were called to the 200 block of E. Wilkes-Barre Street just before 12:30 a.m. for a report of gunshots.

They found a 37-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound, police said. The man told police two other men had tried to rob him, and he'd been shot while fighting them off.

The man was hospitalized and is expected to survive his wound.

Police say they are looking for two men:

  • One is a black man, with dark skin, a slim build, standing about 5 feet 8 inches, with "bushy" hair.
  • The second man was also black. He was tall and thin and wore a mask.
Police are also looking for two vehicles that could be connected to the shooting: one they simply described as "orange," the other a black BMW with tinted windows, blue headlights and silver around the rims.

Anyone with information is asked to call Inspector Daniel Reagan at 610-250-6796 or the police tip line at 610-250-6635.
