Easton police say man stabbed Tuesday near Second and Spring Garden streets.

Easton police are investigating whether a man's stabbing Tuesday evening could be drug related.

According to a news release, police were called to a home in Phillipsburg around 9:40 p.m. after a report of a man who had been stabbed in Easton.

The man was then hospitalized and is expected to survive his injuries. Police say the man told investigators he was attacked by another man near Second and Spring Garden streets, but police could find no crime scene in the area.

The attacker was black, with his hair in corn rows, wearing a baseball cap and glasses. Police say the victim said he was familiar with the man, but has refused to cooperate further.

Anyone with information about the stabbing is asked to call Inspector Dan Reagan at 610-250-6796.
