The Scholastic Art and Writing CompetitionΒ is the nation’s longest-running, most prestigious recognition program for creative teens.Β Students in 7th-12th grade can apply in 28 categories of art and writing.

All entries are considered forΒ Gold Key, Silver Key, Honorable Mention, American VisionsΒ Nominee,Β and American Voices NomineeΒ Awards. TheseΒ areΒ presented to students along with celebration ceremonies and exhibitions in each region.Β

Gold Key entries are automatically considered for national awards, including Gold Medal, Silver Medal with Distinction, Silver Medal, and scholarship awards.Β Β 

The winners’ artwork will be on display at the Kutztown University Art Gallery THE MARLIN AND REGINA MILLER GALLERY in the SHARADIN ARTS BUILDING fromΒ February 12- March 5, 2022. Open to the public Mon-Friday 10-4 pm, Saturday 12-4 pm, Sunday 2-4 pm.

The awards ceremony will be held on Saturday March 5, 2022 from 2-3pm at the Schaeffer Auditorium. Doors open at 1:30pm. The awards ceremony is free and open to the public and welcome to students, teachers, and family members. Please note: please double check COVID protocols before coming to the ceremony, there is a chance in person activities will be canceled.

Art teachers, Mrs. Caruso, Mrs. Maley, Mrs. Soboleski, and Mrs. Pfenninger are proud to announce the EHS winners of this competition. Good luck to all of the winners that will be in the National Competition!
