Emmaus High School notifies community of pepper spray incident in cafeteria (mcall.com) — A student discharged pepper spray in the Emmaus High School cafeteria late Wednesday morning, prompting an immediate response from EMS and police. East Penn School District says pepper spray is strictly prohibited, is investigating the incident, and will take action under district policies, in line with strengthened state reporting rules for weapons in schools.

Emmaus arts and innovation center names new executive director (lvb.com) — Emmaus-based arts hub JuxtaHub has promoted Ryan Hill to executive director, elevating the leader who helped launch its ceramics studio, education programs, and public warehouse space. Hill, a veteran of ArtsQuest and other regional theaters, is now planning a children’s summer camp and a special event showcasing JuxtaHub’s 18 resident artists for the Emmaus community.
