Forest Hills Resident Earns PhD in Economics

Dr. Paul Noroski, of Forest Hills, has earned his doctorate in economics from the State Universiy of New York, Albany. He is the son of Sharyn Fleming, of Forest Hills, and James Noroski, of McKeesport—and step-son of Dr. Arthur Fleming, of Forest Hills.

His dissertation received the university's "Distinguished Doctoral Dissertation Award," which is awarded to the best dissertation in any field at the college of arts and sciences.

Born and raised in the Haler Heights area of McKeesport, Paul Noroski graduated from McKeesport Area High School in 1998 as its class salutatorian and senior class president.  He received his undergraduate degree at St. Vincent College, where he majored in math and physics, and received the college's top math award.
