Patch Pets: Meet Genovia

This little lady needs a new home.

Genovia is a bit surprised at finding herself in a cage since she was happily living with a family.

But, unfortunately, the kids she liked so much were always letting her get out so in Genovia's best interest, her owners brought her back to us. She is four years old. Ideally, this beautiful, shiny black kitty could find a home with a nice enclosed patio or balcony—somewhere she would enjoy the outdoors she loves to much.

But just to have a home, Genovia would settle for a nice big window and lots of attention. The shelter is full and black cats have a harder time than others finding a home. Those of us who work in shelters don't understand that since black cats are usually very smart, gentle and affectionate—and Genovia is no exception.
