ReStore Opening Delayed
The Habitat for Humanity project, tentatively set to open in the Edgewood Town Center shopping plaza in late July, seeks volunteers.

Habitat for Humanity's Edgewood Town Center is looking for volunteers to staff its floors before and after its grand opening, which is tentatively set for late July.
ReStore, which will sell furniture, home goods and decorations at 30 to 50 percent below retail cost, had previously planned to open this weekend. According to ReStore Volunteer Coordinator Hannah Morris, that date was pushed back as the store’s progress slowed.
“Since the middle of April, our volunteers have really declined,” Morris said. “We have so much work to get done in there.”

While some items donated to the store will be used to build houses through Habitat for Humanity, others will be sold to the public. Proceeds from sales will go to building projects for the organization.
Currently, ReStore is looking for volunteers to help sort, organize and shelve items between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on weekdays, and between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturdays. After the store opens, it will be staffed largely by regular, volunteer workers.
