Swissvale Library Holds Book and Bake Sale

Twice a year, the library holds the sale as a fundraiser.

Swissvale Library held a book and bake sale over the weekend, with everything from knitted goods to delicious cupcakes and more.

made during the sale are used to help support the library, specifically the summer reading program.

“A lot of the people who come to volunteer are the friends of the library,” said Sharon Ramsey, president of the volunteer group. “The knitters also give a percentage of their sales to the library. It’s a wonderful thing.”
