Woodland Hills Senior a Coca-Cola Finalist

Student is in the running for a national scholarship.

Senior Asraiel Harewood has been selected as a finalist for the 2011 Coca-Cola Scholarship.

Finalists were selected on the basis of academic excellence, leadership and community involvement. Harewood is a class officer, was a co-drum major for the WHHS Marching Band, is the student representative to the school board, is involved in several extra-curricular activities and also volunteers in her community.

She is one of 252 high school seniors across the country who were selected as finalists from a pool of 71,000 applicants. On April 14, Harewood will join other finalists in Atlanta, GA to compete for 52 four-year college scholarships for $20,000.
