• Cold-weather prep raises funds (vindy.com) — Girard’s FIRST Robotics Robocats Aptiv Team just wrapped up their long-running lawn mower winterization fundraiser, servicing more than 60 mowers and raising money for their upcoming season. Students, parents, and alumni from Girard pitched in despite the cold, gaining hands-on skills with engines and tools while helping neighbors keep their equipment in shape for spring.
   

• Anne E. Copper, Boardman, Ohio (wkbn.com) — Family and friends are mourning Anne E. Copper, a beloved educator, community volunteer, and sorority member whose great-grandchild Stephen Moyer lives in Girard. Her life’s work spanned teaching, church service, and extensive community outreach, and she leaves behind children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren across several states and abroad who will gather in Boardman, Ohio, on December 13 to honor her.
