📰 News we're reading
• Grove City College's Bladel earns First Team Div. III All-America honors (alliednews.com) — Grove City football fans have reason to celebrate as Grove City College senior linebacker Ben Bladel has been named a First Team Division III All-American by the AFCA, his second straight honor. Despite injuries limiting him to six full games, he finished as the program’s all-time leader in sacks and tackles for loss and helped the Wolverines to an 8-3 season and a third straight NCAA playoff berth.

• New veteran protections divide legislators (blackchronicle.com) — State Rep. Timothy Bonner of Grove City is opposing a new Pennsylvania House bill that would let veterans use traumatic brain injury or PTSD diagnoses to seek reduced sentences after conviction. Supporters say it simply extends existing protections to veterans diagnosed later, while critics argue it gives judges too much power to revisit jury decisions.
