The future of Harrisburg is looking bright, thanks to the incredible young people working to strengthen our community. In partnership with T-Mobile, Patch is proud to spotlight future leaders like Enjalai Baillie, who are making a positive impact in and around Harrisburg.

As a senior at Harrisburg High School SciTech Campus, Enjalai was recognized as one of the Best & Brightest of 2024, an honor awarded to exceptional high school seniors across seven Pennsylvania counties. Known for her academic excellence and leadership, Enjalai graduated with four years of distinguished honors and served as Vice President of both the National Honor Society and Student Council. She earned accolades such as the College Board African-American Recognition Award, the Dr. George Love Award (twice) at the Capital Area Science and Engineering Fair and the Lisa M. Waller Striving for Excellence Scholarship.

Beyond academics, Enjalai has demonstrated a deep commitment to her school and community. She captained the girls’ volleyball team and the Nu-Vizion step team, led the marching band’s snare drum line and served as Key Club president. Additionally, she mentored younger students as the district’s “tooth fairy” and as a summer program site leader for Harrisburg City Parks and Recreation. Combining her passion for science and her dedication to helping others, Enjalai is currently majoring in biology on a pre-dental track at Swarthmore College, with plans to pursue a career as a pediatric dentist.
