The Terraces at Capitol Village Executive Director Courtney Lill said, “Words are not enough to express the gratitude we have for the service and sacrifices of our resident veterans. This observance allowed us to come together as a community and do something special to show them how much we appreciate their courage and commitment to keeping us safe.”

Observed annually on November 11, Veterans Day is marked by local remembrances and parades across the U.S., as well as a national ceremony held each year at Arlington National Cemetery.
