HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Haverford Police have released details on three weeks' worth of crime incidents that occurred in the township.
These incident took place between Dec. 10 and Dec. 30.
The blotter also features arrests made and citations issued in that same time period.

- Fraud at the 400 block of Cherry Lane on Dec. 10 at 3:25 p.m. – The victim received a phone call from a person claiming to be a Federal Marshall. He advised her that she had a warrant for failing to appear for federal jury duty. She was instructed to withdraw $900 to pay the bond. The victim recognized the scam before she sent the money.
- Identity Theft at the 400 block of Kathmere Road on Dec. 10 at 8:38 p.m. – The victim reported that she received a pop-up notification on her computer advising that the computer security was compromised and to contact a listed phone number for support. The victim provided the caller with his and his wife’s social security number and provided him with remote access to his computer. The victim recognized the scam before suffering a loss.
- Retail Theft at Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on Dec. 10 at 12:43 p.m. – An employee reported that an unknown male stole a shopping cart full of groceries valued at approximately $300.
- Theft at Friel Plastering, 100 block of Coopertown Road, on Dec. 10 at 11:29 a.m. – The victim reported that he discovered over $431,000 had been stolen from at least three separate jobs by an employee.
- Fraud at the unit block of Drexel Avenue on Dec. 11 at 10:35 a.m. – An unknown subject called the victim claiming to be from Atlantic City Police Department and stated that his grandson was in custody. A second male got on the phone pretending to be the grandson and provided him the phone number of the public defender. The “public defender” requested bail money. The victim recognized the scam and declined to pay.
- Theft at Bryn Mawr Extended Care, 900 block of Railroad Avenue, on Dec. 11 at 1:50 p.m. – The victim reported that his cell phone was stolen from his room.
- Criminal Mischief at the 200 block of Fairlamb Avenue on Dec. 12 at 4:39 p.m. – The victim reported deep scratches along the driver side and rear tailgate of his vehicle.
- Fraud at the 100 block of Kathmere Road on Dec. 13 at 11:48 a.m. – The victim reported that her debit card was hacked and fraudulently used during the month of October. Approximately $5,000 in unauthorized charges were made.
- Theft at the 300 block of E. Township Line Road on Dec. 13 at 4:45 p.m. – The victim reported that his firearm was stolen from his bedroom.
- Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on Dec. 13 at 1:42 p.m. – An employee reported that her wallet and Apple AirPods were stolen from her locker.
- Forgery at the 100 block of Myrtle Avenue on Dec. 15 at 11:09 a.m. – The victim reported that a check was altered and cashed after it was mailed.
- Theft at the 300 block of Lincoln Avenue on Dec. 15 at 4:56 p.m. – The victim reported that he ordered a diamond ring online. The package was delivered and found to be tampered with. The box contained a ring box with no ring inside.
- Fraud at the 600 block of Georges Lane on Dec. 15 at 7:10 a.m. – An unauthorized purchase was made with the victim's credit card.
- Theft at the 700 block of Wynnewood Road on Dec. 16 at 9:06 a.m. – The victim reported that she received a call from someone claiming to be from the Korean Consulate, alleging her involvement in an international drug trafficking investigation. She was instructed to provide financial information and transfer funds. The victim transferred the funds as directed by the scammers.
- Theft at Bryn Mawr Extended 900 block of Railroad Avenue on Dec. 16 at 3:52 p.m. – Clothing was reported missing from a resident’s room.
- Retail Theft at Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike, on Dec. 17 at 6:45 p.m. – An unknown male stole $295 worth of merchandise.
- Fraud at the 2700 block of Saint Mary’s Road on Dec. 18 at 10:02 a.m. – The victim received a pop-up fraud “hacked” alert on his laptop. He called the number provided and became suspicious when the male told him he was involved with child pornography.
- Fraud at the unit block of Llandillo Road on Dec. 19 at 5:50 p.m. – The victim received a pop-up fraud “hacked” alert on her computer. She called the number provided and shared biographical information with the scammers that could potentially lead to identity theft.
- Theft at Bryn Mawr Extended Care, 900 block of Railroad Avenue, on Dec. 19 at 8:17 a.m. – The victim reported clothing, a lamp and DVD missing from his room.
- Theft at the 1200 block of Manor Road on Dec. 19 at 1245 hours – A package was stolen after it was delivered.
- Public Drunkenness at Barnaby’s, 1900 block of Old West Chester Pike, on Dec. 20 at 8:32 p.m. – 35-year-old male, 100 block of Cove Road, Broomall was cited for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
- Fraud at the 1100 block of Darby Road on Dec. 22 at 2:37 p.m. – The victim discovered he didn’t have cell service. When he called his cell phone from the landline, a person speaking Chinese answered. He later found that someone attempted to remove funds from his bank account.
- Criminal Mischief at the 100 block of Merrybrook Drive on Dec. 23 at 10:51 a.m. – The victim reported that her house was shot with a BB gun, causing holes in her bathroom window and siding.
- Retail Theft at Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on Dec. 23 at 9:36 a.m. – An unknown male stole $190.65 worth of merchandise.
- Retail Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Dec. 23 at 9:24 p.m. – Two unknown males stole $336 worth of merchandise.
- Theft at the YMCA, 800 block of N. Eagle Road, on Dec. 24 at 3:14 p.m. – The victim reported his wallet and car keys were stolen from an unsecured locker.
- Theft at the 1400 block of Delmont Avenue on Dec. 25 at 3:53 a.m. – Vehicle was entered, $20 was stolen.
- Attempted Theft at the 1400 block of Delmont Avenue on Dec. 25 at 4:39 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
- Theft at Panera Bread, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Dec. 26 at 5:43 p.m. – The victim reported that his wallet was stolen from his table.
- Fraud at the 200 block of E. Hathaway Lane on Dec. 27 at 3:22 p.m. – The victim received a text message from a person claiming to be from Wells Fargo and reporting a transaction at Best Buy. After the victim replied that it was not him, he received a phone call instructing him to transfer money between his accounts and take a $17,000 credit card advance. They also advised him to transfer $20,000 to a CashApp account and withdraw $15,000 and deposit it to the Wells Fargo agents supervisor for safekeeping. The total loss was $35,000.
- Criminal Mischief at the YMCA, 800 block of N. Eagle Road, on Dec. 29 at 12:07 p.m. – Graffiti was discovered on a Peco gear box.
- Theft at the 200 block of E. Manoa Road on Dec. 30 at 4:48 p.m. – The contents of a package were stolen after it was delivered.

- 37-year-old female, 100 block of S. Rolling Road, Springfield. Charges: DUI, careless driving, possession of a controlled substance, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Location: W. Township Line Road and Edmonds Avenue. Date: Dec. 18 at 11:29 p.m.
- 43-year-old male, 2900 block of Kensington Avenue, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail theft, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Location: Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Dec. 20 at 7:28 p.m.
- 37-year-old male, 1300 block of Sayrs Avenue, Camden New Jersey. Charges: False identification to law enforcement. Location: West Chester Pike and Manoa Road. Date: Dec. 29 at 11:17 p.m.
