Havertown Bicyclist Killed In Hit-And-Run Crash; Driver Sought
William Lindsay, of Havertown, was riding his bike Sunday night along the 3800 block of Ridge Avenue when he was by an unknown vehicle.
PHILADELPHIA, PA—The Philadelphia Police Department is asking the public's help in locating a driver who fatally struck a bicyclist over the weekend and left the scene.
According to police, William Lindsay, of Havertown, was riding his bike Sunday along the 3800 block of Ridge Avenue around 8:35 p.m. when he was struck by an unknown vehicle.
Lindsay was eventually found on the highway unconscious, breathing and bleeding from the head, police said.

He was transported to Temple Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Police said glass was found on Lindsay's clothing and hair. As a result, officers believe the vehicle has a damaged windshield.

The FOP is currently offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest, CBS 3 Philly reported.
